Confident in my Authenticity

Confident in my Authenticity

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Hebrew 11:1 (KJV)

There comes a time in our lives where we may be called to take center stage. There is something so magnificent inside of you that God is urging you to step from behind the clouds and into the spotlight of the sun. In our last two blog posts, we discussed our need for physical and emotional security. This blog post will allow us to see how the root and sacral chakra work together to help heal the solar plexus chakra and develop our confidence and self-esteem.

The solar plexus chakra, the third chakra in the seven chakra system. It is located above the navel and below our chest. It is associated with our motivation, sense of purpose, confidence,  and willpower. A blocked solar plexus chakra can display digestive issues such as stomach pain, nausea, and loss of appetite. Emotional symptoms are lack of confidence, low self-esteem, and insecurity.

The solar plexus chakra is a difficult chakra to heal, especially if you area perfectionist. Speaking from personal experience, I like concentrating on the details of things and ensuring that everything comes out the right way. However, my perfectionist tendencies will cause me to doubt my course of action if something doesn't happen the way I planned it. My mind will constantly tell myself, ’you shouldn't have done it this way.’  The solar plexus chakra teaches perfectionists to release control. It teaches us that the best things happen when there is no plan to rely on but we rely on our power instead.

Now, this not to say that perfectionists are the only ones who suffer from a blocked solar plexus chakra. We experience solar plexus chakra blockages when we are faced with rejection or criticism. Think back to a time when you were ridiculed for doing something that made you happy. Did you change your mind because you no longer felt confident about it? To us, the overall lesson of the solar plexus chakra is not letting rejection or criticism stop you from fulfilling your purpose, but rather motivate you. The solar plexus chakra teaches you to have confidence within yourself.

How do you heal your solar plexus chakra? Here are some methods you can try out.

  1. Listen to your intuition.
  2. Sunbathe or go outside for a walk. The solar plexus chakra is associated with the sun, or going outside on sunny days can revitalize your energy.
  3. Say or write these sacral chakra affirmations
  • I can do anything I set my mind to.
  • I am motivated to fulfill my life purpose.
  • I release the need to control everything in my life.
  • I am a confident and powerful person and I fully embrace it.
